Every American GirlDoll needs a place to lay her head at night! This is an easy project and your American Girl Doll lover will be so excited. This project will cost you around $5-$7 to make not including the bedding. I’ll save the bedding for another post.

The idea for this bed originated from the Doll Farmhouse Bed on AnaWhite.com. My dimensions are a little different because I found as I built it, it needed to be tweaked a little bit.

(Bottom of Slats – 1 1/4 Pocket hole on each end of the same side and stager them)2 12 @ 15 1/2? (Top of Slats)2 13 @ 16 1/2? (Top of Headboard and Footboard)2 13 @ 19? (Side-rails – 1 1/4 Pocket hole on each end of the same side, 1/2 from the bottom.2 12 @ 14? (Bed Frame – 1 1/4 Pocket hole on each end of the same side)

Legs need to be flush with the top of the slats. Then attach them using the pocket holes found on the bottom of the long slat board.

Attach the headboard and the footboard to the bed frame that you just made. Use the pocket holes that you have already created on the side rails.

Slide in the piece of plywood that you have already cut to fit. You are done! Now it’s time to paint or stain this project and make some American Girl Doll very happy!

My dad and I made a tripple bunk bed with the plans. Got the wood from Home Depot and the bedding stuff from Walmart. All together it fits 6 dolls and only cost $40 a whole lot less than the one from AG
